VIDWAT SAMMILAN EVENT WAS HELD IN KRISTU JAYANTI COLLEGE, AUTONOMOUS

On February 24, 2024, Kristu Jayanti College Autonomous hosted the 8th Edition VIDWAT SAMMILAN event, which featured an interactive session with institutional leaders, including Prof. T. V. Kattimani, the Honourable Vice Chancellor of Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh and this event father George Augustine principle of Kristu Jayanti College was also present with some other teachers. The focus of the session was on exploring the theme of "Bharatiya Knowledge System in Higher Education." This discussion delved into the unique aspects of Indian knowledge systems and their relevance in contemporary higher education. The event commenced at 2:30 pm in the Jubilee Auditorium, setting the stage for a comprehensive exploration of this significant topic.

                                                                

The session aimed to shed light on the rich heritage of knowledge systems that have been integral to India's cultural and intellectual fabric for centuries. These indigenous systems encompass various fields such as philosophy, literature, science, and spirituality, offering a holistic understanding of the universe and human existence. Prof. Kattimani and other esteemed leaders engaged in a dialogue to uncover how these traditional knowledge systems can be integrated into modern higher education frameworks, enriching the learning experience for students. And he also shared his experiences with the students. The session was very helpful for the students because we gained knowledge that we were unaware of it.

The session also addressed the role of technology in preserving and disseminating Bharatiya knowledge systems. Participants discussed how digital platforms and online resources can be utilized to document traditional practices, texts, and teachings, making them accessible to a wider audience. Prof. Kattimani highlighted the potential of digital initiatives to revitalize interest in ancient wisdom and facilitate cross-cultural exchange in the global academic community.

                                                                        

One of the key points of discussion was the need to bridge the gap between traditional Indian knowledge systems and contemporary academic curricula. Participants explored strategies to incorporate elements of Bharatiya knowledge into existing educational practices, ensuring that students gain a deeper appreciation for their cultural heritage while also acquiring relevant skills for the future. Prof. Kattimani emphasized the importance of nurturing a sense of pride and respect for India's indigenous knowledge among the younger generation. After the event was over there was a questioning round where many students asked the questions and the replies, he gave were helpful for the students.

Furthermore, the conversation touched upon the significance of interdisciplinary approaches in higher education, drawing connections between traditional Indian knowledge systems and contemporary disciplines. Participants explored how insights from ancient texts and practices can inform fields such as environmental science, medicine, ethics, and governance, contributing to innovative solutions for modern challenges. Prof. Kattimani emphasized the importance of fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration to harness the full potential of Bharatiya knowledge systems.

  LIT-CON EVENT WAS HELD IN KRISTU JAYANTI COLLEGE AUTONOMOUS On 8 th February there was an event happening in the Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous which was something really exciting It’s called Lit-Con: Carnivalesque.
