LUMOS EVENT WAS HELD IN KRISTU JAYANTI COLLEGE AUTONOMOUS

The "LUMOS: Adding Light to Life" Annual Photography Exhibition was a fantastic event organized by the Department of Media Studies at Kristu Jayanti College Autonomous. It took place on February 22, 2023, starting from 10 am onwards. This event was all about the amazing art of photography and how it brings light and beauty into our lives. The two important persons at the event were Fr. Joshy and Fr. Jais V Thomas. They were there to support and encourage all the participants and visitors. They both were like the cheerleaders of the event, spreading positivity and making everyone feel welcome.

The main idea behind the exhibition was to showcase how photography can capture moments and emotions that often go unnoticed. The theme, "Adding Light to Life," highlighted how photography shines a light on the world around us, revealing its beauty and depth. Before the event, there was a lot of preparation. People from all over, including students, teachers, and photography enthusiasts, sent in their photos to be displayed. The response was overwhelming, with a wide variety of photographs pouring in, each telling its own unique story.

On the day of the exhibition, the college campus buzzed with excitement as visitors arrived to explore the gallery of photos. The exhibition hall was transformed into a visual feast, with carefully arranged displays guiding visitors through different themes and emotions captured in the photographs. As people walked around, they paused to admire the stunning landscapes, heartwarming portraits, and captivating moments frozen in time. Each photo had its own story to tell, and visitors found themselves drawn into the world of the photographers, experiencing their perspectives and emotions.

Fr. Joshy and Fr. Jais V Thomas were there, mingling with the crowd, offering words of encouragement, and sharing their appreciation for the art of photography. Their presence added to the warmth and joy of the event, making everyone feel like they were part of a big family.  From technical tips to philosophical insights, there was something for everyone to enjoy and take away from the event. One of the highlights of the exhibition was the announcement of the winners of the photography competition. Fr. Joshy and Fr. Jais V Thomas joined the jury in selecting the best photos in different categories like landscapes, portraits, and creative expression. It was a tough decision because there were so many amazing entries, but in the end, deserving winners were chosen and awarded prizes. As the day came to a close and the sunset was on the horizon, there was a sense of fulfillment and camaraderie among all the participants and visitors. Both Fr. Joshy and Fr. Jais V Thomas expressed their gratitude to everyone who made the event possible and reiterated the importance of creativity and expression in our lives.

Overall, the "LUMOS: Adding Light to Life" Annual Photography Exhibition was a huge success, thanks to the hard work of the Department of Media Studies and the support of Fr. Joshy and Fr. Jais V Thomas. It was a day filled with inspiration, creativity, and celebration, reminding us of the power of photography to illuminate our world and touch our hearts.
